The following is a list of episodes from the TV anime adaptation of the manga series Hunter × Hunter. The adaptation was produced by Nippon Animation and first aired on Fuji Television for 62 episodes from October 16, 1999, to March 31, 2001. The TV series is based only on the first 11 volumes of the manga, with subsequent story arcs produced as DVD OVA series. The series is directed by
Hunter × Hunter is quite a large series which has an anime starting in 1999 and one starting in 2011. The latter is longer (currently at 80 episodes versus 62 from the original), and is said to follow the manga more faithfully. I have not read the manga, nor seen either series. What are the major differences* in these two adaptations?
Hunter x Hunter 1999 vs 2011 I think it's fair to say that a huge part of the HxH fanbase came to know this series because of the 2011 Anime adaptation by Madhouse (like myself). There is also the 1999 version which goes up to the end of the Greed Island arc. My question is,how does the community feel about the 1999 version?
it’s not a narrative, it’s this specific case where the 99 version makes Canary look like a weird fish person. if someone says it’s wrong to even have just some things they prefer about 99 that’s silly. but to be honest, 2011 is the longer, more complete work. people are always going to generally prefer that one.
Kou Yagami is a 14-year-old male and the main protagonist of the anime, and his face is exactly equivalent to Kurapika of Hunter X Hunter, both have the girlish face at exactly the same level. Look at Kou Yagami, is wearing short-shorts like of a girl, that is all throughout in the entire anime, and his thighs and legs is voluptuously girlish
As such, it didn't take him long to make his debut at all. In the Hunter x Hunter manga, Netero made his debut in Chapter 12. In the 1999 version of the Hunter x Hunter anime, Netero appeared in Episode 10 to show what his character was all about. In the 2011 version of the anime, Netero made his appearance rather early, in Episode 6.
pppB. There is already a 1999 hxh set. That I am hesitant on buying because some parts are sold for quite a lot. So it might just be easier if they RE release a new box set. And usually animes have multiple re releases anyway so I figured its about time it got rereleased in a new box set. ControlledByShalnark • 7 yr. ago.
same level of violence and gore Actually this was one of my biggest complaint about the new one. The new one is less graphically violent imo. Case in point: Killua vs. Jones 1999. 2011. Killua was straight up heartless in the 1999 (and the original manga) for this part, where as he seems much less evil / more playful in the 2011 remake.
Hunter x Hunter: Phantom Rouge. Following the events of the Yorknew auction heist, Kurapika’s quest to avenge his clan takes a distressing turn when his eyes are suddenly stolen - by a friend he thought was long dead! Notified of the situation by Leorio, Gon and Killua set out in search of clues, determined to find the culprit.
It has a slightly different tone that some people even prefer over the 2011 version. If you've seen the 2011 anime at least once already, then go with the 1999 version. I don't think it's quite as good but it still holds up and I do think there are some specific moments that better executed in the older version.
Yuk kita ulas perbandingannya di bawah! 1.
The big story is the same but there are a lot of small / medium differences. If you become a huge fan of HxH then the 1999 version is definitely worth your time. A different studio did the work and it's somewhat darker. It's fun seeing another interpretation of the manga. Only the first 62 episodes were broadcast, everything else is an OVA.
is hunter x hunter 1999 and 2011 the same
